Aaron Pervis, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at his residence in the presence of his loving wife, Staci Pervis.
A Memorial Service in honor of Aaron will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 9, 2026 at the Tindolph Seventh Day Adventist Church in Thief River Falls, MN.
A Visitation will take place one hour prior to the memorial service at the church on Friday.
Aaron’s Final Resting Place is at the Awaiting His Call Cemetery, at Nature’s Retreat, Cedar Township, rural Middle River, Minnesota, which is being held privately on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
Aaron Glen Pervis was born on February 5, 1965, in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of Melvin and Judith (Meekma) Pervis. Aaron spent some of his childhood in Bradenton, Florida. In 1974 the Pervis family moved to Middle River, MN. He started his schooling at the Tindolph Seventh Day Adventist School, then on to the Middle River SDA School. From there he attended Maplewood Academy in Hutchinson, MN.
Following High School, Aaron attended Southeast Community College in Beatrice, NE where he studied Non-Destructive Testing and learned to became a Master Welder. Straight out of college he worked for Landoll Hauloll in Nebraska. Landoll's line of specialized detachable trailers was known for their ground-loading capabilities for heavy equipment. His job was to test structural integrity on their trailers.
In 1982 Aaron was united in marriage to Lisa Chamberlain in Lincoln, NE. To this union, three children were born: James, Lilly, and Emily. They were the pride and joy of his life, and he loved being their dad.
In 1983 Aaron and his brothers, Jonathan and Wayne moved out to Washington D.C. to work in drywall with their father, Melvin. After 5 years he moved to St. Louis to work for Macdonald Douglas Aerospace.
In the early 90’s Aaron moved back to Middle River. He began working for Natural Way Mills, where he helped to promote organic grains and flour. On the side, Aaron began his own drywall finishing business and again worked with his brother Jonathan.
On December 22, 2018, Aaron married Staci Jenkins in Harrison, AR. Aaron became a step-father to Seth, Samuel, and Simon Carrizosa.
His interests included biking, hiking, the great outdoors, bird watching – he could tell you the type of bird by their song, and gardening.
Aaron was known for his kind and welcoming demeanor, traits that endeared him to many throughout his life. It was not uncommon for him to make donations to worthy charities in an effort to help others.
Aaron is survived by his beloved wife, Staci Pervis, his children, James Pervis, Lilly Miller, and Emily Gilginas. He is also loved and remembered by his mother, Judith Pervis, and his siblings, Melvin Pervis, JR., Jonathan (Angie) Pervis, Wayne (Beth) Pervis, and Amy (Russell) Bantin; uncle, Glen Meekma; aunts, Linda Banfe and June (Terry) Turner; several nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
Aaron is predeceased by his father, Melvin Pervis; uncle, Ronnie (Suzie) Meekma; aunt, Joyce Meekma.
As we remember Aaron, we celebrate the kindness he extended to everyone in his life and the lasting impact he had on his family and community. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the memories shared by those who loved him.
