Adeline Sletten passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, MN.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Our Saviour's Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Alex Amiot Officiating. Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery. Minnesota and CDC guidelines will be followed, another option will be to listen on your car radio in the parking lot tuned to 102.5FM."

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 5 – 8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.

Adeline Muriel Sistad was born July 15, 1927 at Grygla, MN daughter of Joel and Mina (Bye) Sistad. She was raised and attended school near Grygla. Adeline moved to Minneapolis and worked for a time. She moved back to Grygla and worked on the family farm.

On June 24, 1953 she was united in marriage to Willard Sletten at Grygla, MN. The couple lived in Cheyenne, WY until Willard was discharged from the US Airforce in 1955 when they returned to Thief River Falls, MN. Adeline worked at the hospital in Thief River Falls until 1981. She was a volunteer for bingo at Oakland Park, driving people to medical appointments, spent many hours volunteering at the Eagles Auxiliary, and Our Saviour's Christian Academy.

Adeline enjoyed crocheting and embroidering, baking bread and buns. She also enjoyed gardening and flower gardening. Adeline and Willard enjoyed dancing.

Adeline is survived by her sons Larry Sletten of Alexandria, MN and Rodney (Heidi) Sletten of Thief River Falls, MN; Grandchildren Joe (Sally) Sletten of Alexandria, MN, Jim Sletten of Alexandria, MN, Brian (Shannon) Morin of Fargo, ND, Kelsey (Kelly) Brateng of Thief River Falls, MN, Jayson (Missy) Sletten of Red Lake Falls, MN, Kristine (Mark) Oslund of Wannaska, MN; 20 Great-grandchildren and two Great-great-grandchildren; sister Alma Foss of Aiken, MN; sisters-in-law  Laudy Sistad of Thief River Falls, MN; Bernice Sistad of Thief River Falls, MN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Willard in 1995, siblings Marvin (Alice) Sistad, Hazel (Ardell) Bjorge, Palmer (Lavona) Sistad, James (Gladys) Sistad, Arvid Sistad, Stewart Sistad; brother-in-law Marvin Foss.
