Obituary

Agnes (Paradis) Hemly, Vancouver, WA, formerly Plummer, MN, beloved mother and grandmother, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017

Funeral Service will be 11 AM, Friday, January 13, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Vancouver, WA

Agnes Estelle Paradis was born July 25, 1926, one of 11 children, was born in Terrebonne, MN to Evan and Rose Paradis.

Agnes married Edmund Hemly in 1947 and they raised two sons and four daughters in Plummer, MN. They were married 21 years before Edmund's death in 1968. She moved to Washington in1973 and spent over 40 years in Vancouver.

She loved God and was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church until 2015. She most recently attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Agnes believed in living life to the fullest, as evident by her international travel. One of the many highlights of her life was a trip to Vatican City, where she visited St. Peter's Basilica. She also enjoyed celebrating with her friends and family, sewing, dancing, bingo and playing cards.

Agnes is survived by her six children: Dean (Laura) Hemly, Lynda (George) Kunst, Brent (Linda) Hemly, Debbie Hemly, Krista (Darrell) Haynes and Patti (David) Keyser and 10 grandchildren.

Her wit, compassion and faith, will be missed, but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family kindly asks that donations be made directly to Community Home Health & Hospice or St. John the Evangelical Church.
