Agnes Jorstad, 100, died Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Hillcrest Senior Living, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, May 16, 2011, at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Wesley Langaas officiating. Burial will be at Telemarken Cemetery, Kratka Township, Pennington County, MN.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday.

Agnes Jorstad was born December 31, 1910 in Adgar Township, Marshall County, MN, the daughter of Hans and Ingborg (Brekke) Jorstad. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Church in the German language. She grew up and attended country school in Adgar Township.

She was employed on a farm in Brooten, MN for many years. She worked on a farm at Fisher, MN and a family farm in Kratka Township as a housekeeper. In 1967, she moved into Thief River Falls and became a caretaker for her mother and brother for many years. She lived in her home until the age of 91, when she moved into Valley Nursing Home. She has lived at Hillcrest Senior Living in Red Lake Falls the past four years.

Agnes was a member of Abundant Life Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls and a member of the womens groups. She enjoyed working with thread, crocheting and knitting.

Agnes is survived by one nephew, Don Jorstad, Red Lake Falls, MN; two nieces, JoAnn Pegley, California and Beverly Nebel, Ham Lake, MN; several grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, sister, Mildred Wold, 3 brothers, Alf, Bjarne and Harold, 2 half brothers, Ole Dosen and Terje Kjeldaas, 2 nephews, Robert and Ralph Jorstad, niece Alice Wold
