Agnes Lambert, 81, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Monday, June 28, 1999 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN. Arrangements with Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 2, 1999 at 2:00 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Tim Bushy Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 5 " 8 with a 7:00 PM prayer service at the Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Agnes Rose Sauve was born October 5, 1917 at Crookston, MN daughter of Oscar and Palmire (Sauve) Sauve. She was raised and attended school in and around Red Lake Falls. On December 30, 1944 she was united in marriage to Dennis Lambert in Red Lake Falls, MN. The couple lived in Red Lake Falls where Agnes did house keeping for people and provided daycare. In 1968 she began working at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls where she worked until her retirement in 1982. Dennis passed away August 26, 1974 and Agnes entered Hillcrest Nursing Home on May 28, 1999 where she resided until her death.
Agnes enjoyed sewing, crocheting and reading. She was a member of the St. Joseph Church, the VFW Auxiliary and was a Gold Star Mother.
She is survived by her son Richard Dick (Geri) Lambert of Red Lake Falls, MN; three grandchildren Derek Lambert of Red Lake Falls, MN; Kristin (Curtis) Funk of Shelly, MN and Mark Lambert of Red Lake Falls. Brothers Omer Sauve of Red Lake Falls, MN; Jim Sauve (Elizabeth) of Red Lake Falls, MN; Jerry Sauve (Marlene) of Red Lake Falls, MN and Mike Sauve (Kathleen) of Rudd, Iowa. Sisters Mary Kellenburger of Superior, WI and Lorraine Brown (Chet) of Red Lake Falls, MN; several nieces and nephews.
Agnes is preceded in death by her husband, parents, Francis Fritz Benoit (Lambert) who lived with Agnes and family; brothers George Sauve, Eli Sauve, Robert Bert Sauve, Delphus Pete Sauve, William Sam Sauve and Edmund Sauve.
