Aileen E. Anderson, 83, of Park City, Illinois died on Saturday, May 20, 2000 at Pavilion Nursing Home in Waukegan, IL.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at the Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls.

A graveside service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at the Finnish Cemetery at Plummer, MN.

Aileen Anderson was born January 27, 1917 in Ironwood, Michigan, the daughter of Iver and Senja Kangas Silta. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith in Michigan. She attended school in Ironwood and rural Plummer, MN. She worked in Chicago for a number of years and married Herbert W. Anderson on July 2, 1949. They lived in Chicago, Melrose Park and Park City, IL. Aileen was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church, the United Ostomy Association and the Park Place Senior Center.

Aileen is survived by her loving husband Herbert of Park City, IL; granddaughter, Caryn and great-granddaughter, Mariah of Florida; nephew, Don (Scharlene) Fox of Plummer, MN; grand niece, Debra (Scott) Greelis of Moorhead, MN; grand nephew, David Fox of Plummer, MN; niece, Georgene (Mike) Carroll of Delaware, Ohio; nephew, Charles (Mary) Clark of Two Rivers, WI; godson, Brian Montague of Crystal Lake, IL; many good friends and neighbors.

Aileen is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Heimo Silta and a sister Ruth Christie.
