Obituary

Alan Walker of Red Lake Falls, MN passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday April 1, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father David Super Officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery later in the spring. Following the service a light lunch will be served at Sunview. Alan Randall Walker was born March 31, 1950 in Crookston, MN son of Donald and Florence (Keim) Walker. He was raised near Red Lake Falls, MN attended school at Lafayette High School graduating in 1968. He attended Staples Vocational and received an associate degree in 1970. He attended Moorhead State graduating in 1994. On August 29, 1970 he was united in marriage to Pam Musil at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN. The couple made their home in Red Lake Falls and Al worked at various places in the area. To this union 3 girls were born Amy, Becky and Katie. He and Pam were owner operators of Uncle Bills Drive In in Red Lake Falls and was currently working at Digi Key in Thief River Falls. Al was in a dance band called the Rogues with his father; he always had a passion for tractors and old machinery, and enjoyed tinkering with computers and electronics. But the greatest joy in his life was his five grandchildren; they meant the world to him. Alan was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Thief River Falls, and Kem Shriners of Grand Forks, ND. Alan is survived by his wife of 45 years Pam Walker of Red Lake Falls, MN; daughters Amy Kinsella of Seattle, WA, Becky (Troy) Badalato of Bemidji, MN and Katie (Brandon) Holter of Red Lake Falls, MN; grandchildren Jacob and Isaac Frenzel, Mahli, Jett and Zakk Holter; mother Florence Walker of Thief River Falls, MN; siblings Brian (Gayle) Walker of Eagen, MN, Arlene (Derald) Mercil of Argyle, MN, Lloyd (Charlene) Walker of Grafton, MN and Diane (Dave) Malcomson of Rochester, MN along with many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his father Donald and brother Paul, father and mother -in-law Leo and Veo Musil.
