Albert George Fisher, 77, of Plummer, MN, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.

Albert was born on October 29, 1943 to Joseph and Bertha (Armbrust) Fisher in Dickinson, ND.  He was baptized and confirmed at St Joseph Catholic Church and attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Dickinson.  In 1961, Albert graduated from Central High School, Dickson, ND.

From 1962 to 1965, Albert served our country in the United States Army.  Following his service, Al was united in marriage to his "High School Sweet Heart," Lorraine Marie Heiser, on May 10, 1965. For nearly 56 years, Albert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and took great pride in the accomplishments of his boys.

Albert worked as an electrician for Berger Electric in Dickinson, ND and then Langlie Electric after moving to Thief River Falls in 1969.  The family moved to the  Plummer Farm in 1971, where he lived, worked the land, and raised his family for the remainder of his days.  From 1993 to 2018, Albert proudly worked at Walter Brother's Dairy farm.

Albert had a passion for gardening, making venison sausage, and woodworking.  He had a God-given talent to turn raw lumber, much of which came from trees logged on the farm,  into amazing keepsakes that adorn the homes of  loved ones – through which Albert's memory will live on.

Albert is survived by his wife, Lorraine; sons Brian (Jeanette Sinn) Fisher, Russell (Kimberly) Fisher, and Shannon (Lance Schoenke) Fisher; grandchildren Hunter (Ashley) Fisher, Maddison ( Jason) Fisher Grove, Megan Barker, Dionne (Jeff) Hoffman, Jasmine (Daniel) Hage, Bethany, Joshua, Caleb, and Jessica Fisher, Jaden and Alexandra Hanks, and great-granddaughter-to-be, Amelia Kay; sisters, Florence (Gene) Erickson, Rosemary Berger, Tilly (Stanley) Kuntz, and Annie (Clarence) Huschka; many nieces and nephews, and their families.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bertha Fisher, brothers, Joe, Frank, and John Fisher, bother-in-law, George Berger, sister-in-laws, Katie Fisher and Rosemary Fisher, and nephews, Bill Kuntz, Leon Berger, Paul and Jeffrey Fisher, and Calvin, Rob, and Bryon Huschka.

Anyone who knew Albert, loved him.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation (5 to 7 PM) and Prayer Service (7 PM) will be on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Service Chapel, Thief River Falls, MN.

Private family burial will be held at a later date.
