Alene Schoenauer, 68, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Monday, August 27, 2001 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN. Arrangements with Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 31, 2001 at Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Red Lake Falls at 2:00 PM with Reverend Gary Graff Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Cemetery in Plummer, MN.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home in Friday only.

Alene Schoenauer was born September 11, 1932 daughter of the late Paul E. and Edythe (Demann) Schoenauer at Crookston, MN. She was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at a young age. Alene was raised in the Plummer area and received her high school diploma. She lived at her home with her parents until 1981 when she entered the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls where she has since resided. She played piano as a young girl and loved music.

She is survived by her sister Pauline Walker of Oklee, MN; 2 nephews Martin P. Walker of Grand Forks, ND and John Schoenauer of Aurora, CO: one niece Kristine Schoenauer of Carona, CA; one great niece Katie. One local cousin Sue (Ken) Reynolds of Red Lake Falls, MN and several other cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Deane Schoenauer.
