Alice Irene Wold was born February 23, 1916, on the Family Farm, in Agder Township, Marshall County, MN, the daughter of Ingvald and Alma (Bredeson) Wold. She was baptized and confirmed at Satersdahl Lutheran Church and attended Sunnyside Country School and Lincoln High School, graduating from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls.

Alice was united in marriage to Martin Hanson, June 6, 1948. The couple farmed their entire life in Silverton Township, Pennington County, MN. She enjoyed being a housewife and helping Martin on the Family Farm. She also worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company as a Telephone Operator and Ben Franklin.

Alice was well known for her cake decorating and enjoyed gardening, especially working with her strawberries. She loved passing out food samples at Hugos. She enjoyed her grandchildren and loved her Lord, and always lived with abundant faith.

She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church, Thief River Falls and WMS.

Alice is survived by three children: Mark (Audrey) Hanson, Thief River Falls, MN, Gary (Sherril) Hanson, Troutman, NC and Grace (Kevin) Meyer, Independence, MN; grandchildren: Ehren (Ester) Hanson, Coon Rapids, MN, Seth (Angie) Hanson, Onieda, NY, Ingrid (Brent) Barnstuble, Fargo, ND, Kjell Hanson, Fargo, ND, Brendt Hanson, Troutman, NC, Tim Hanson, Troutman, NC, Kirsten Hanson, Troutman, NC, Kelsey Meyer, Independence, MN and Kenzie Meyer, Independence, MN; one great grandchild, Kade Markus Hanson; one brother: Irving Wold, Fergus Falls, MN; brother-in-law, Silas (Marjorie) Hanson, Thief River Falls, MN; one sister, Judith Wold; three sisters-in-law: Verna Wold and Lenore Wold of Thief River Falls, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Martin; three brothers: Clarence Wold, Rueben Wold and Benhard Wold; and three sisters: Myrtle Hanson, Gladys Vedum and Bernice Trochman.
