Allan Steenerson, of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away at his home on Friday, November 24, 2023 at the age of 91.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN, with Pastor Ollie Urdahl officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday at Johnson Funeral Service.

Allan Steenerson was born September 5, 1932 in Thief River Falls, the son of Clayton and Louise (Kvall) Steenerson.  He attended Northrop School and Lincoln High School, graduating in 1952.  He played hockey and football, receiving his first letter in the 8th grade.

He spent 4 years with the Air Force, stationed at Newfoundland and later at Rapid City, SD.  He was honorably discharged in 1956.

On November 30, 1958, Allan was united in marriage to Deloris Roese at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls.

He worked in trucking, until retirement in 1993.

Allan's favorite pastimes were fishing, deer hunting, and traveling with Deloris.

Allan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN, a member of the American Legion and the Eagles both in Thief River Falls.

He is survived by his son Randy; son-in-law, Jody Qualley, grandchildren, Adam (Ashley) Qualley and their children Natasha, Emmett, and Harper, Stephanie (Brent) Berhow and their children Haidyn and Hannah, and Angela Henderson.

Allan is preceded in death by his wife Deloris on November 16, 2018; daughters Cindy Henderson and Sue Qualley; grandson Matthew Qualley; and his parents.
