Alvin D. Junior Moran age 77, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Sunday, December 4, 2005 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Tim Bushy Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Dorothy Catholic Cemetery at Dorothy, MN.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday Only.
Alvin Darrel Moran was born November 6, 1928 in Tilden Township, Polk County, MN son of the late Alvin Kelly and Molly (Ricke) Moran. He was raised in Red Lake County and attended rural school. He was baptized at St. Marys Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls. Alvin served his country during WWII in Germany serving in the Army. Following his honorable discharge Alvin returned to Red Lake Falls where he farmed and raised livestock.
In his retirement he enjoyed putting together puzzles he also enjoyed helping the Sisters at Mount St. Benedict in the gardens which he did for many years. Alvin was a former member of St. Dorothys Catholic Church and served on the St. Dorothy Cemetery Board and was currently a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls.
Alvin is survived by his brothers Clayton (Lorraine) Moran of Red Lake Falls, MN and James (Angie) Moran of Australia one sister Dorothy Page of Erskine, MN and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant brothers Edward and brother Joseph and one sister Margie Persson and his step mother Cecil Moran.
