Alyce I. Sevre, 92, of Red Lake Falls, MN formerly of St. Hilaire, MN peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Hillcrest Senior Living in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, 18, 2013 at Calvary Lutheran Church in St. Hilaire, MN 2:00 PM with Revered Mary Hanson Officiating. Burial will be held at Landstad Cemetery rural Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.

Alyce Ida Jensen Sevre was born December 29, 1920 daughter of the late Jens and Ida Margaret (George) Jensen in Polk Center Township, Pennington County, MN. She attended school and graduated from Thief River Falls, Lincoln High School in 1939.

On March 5, 1944 Alyce was united in marriage to Glen Sevre. The couple farmed and raised cows for many years. Alyce worked at Johnson Lefsa in St. Hilaire. She later worked at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls, MN as a nursing assistant until her retirement. She loved family and being a stay at home mother while raising their four daughters. She was known for high heels even wearing them to milk cows. Alyce enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved old time music and dancing, playing bingo and canning. She volunteered many hours at the St. Hilaire Senior Center. She loved crafts and embroidery. Alyce was crowned Centennial Queen of St. Hilaire in 1983.

Alyce is survived by daughters, Bonnie (Bob Seibel) Pederson of Cohasset, MN and Darlene (Bob) Valley of Red Lake Falls, MN. Twelve grandchildren Daniel (Missy Johnson) Peterson, Dianne (Nate) Stroh, Debra (David Clark) Reynolds, Cindy (Doug) Laaveg, Dennis (Jenny) Peterson, Kelli (Warren Denault) Kalgard, Tracie (Chad) Hove, Troy Pederson, Michelle (Mick) MacMillan, Tammy (Chad) Larson, Kristin Valley and Peggy (Tim) Nord, 33 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Alyce was preceded in death by her husband Glen, parents Jens and Ida Jensen, daughters Donna Peterson and Cherie Walters, son-in-law Wayne Peterson, great grandson Grant Beck, brothers Elmer, Alfred and Leonard Jensen; sisters Ann (Morris) Jaransen, Emma Jensen, Sadie (Wilhelm) Bugge, Sophie (Donald) Sevre, Myrtle (Louie) Johnson.
