Amber Wold of Thief River Falls, MN age 36 died on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Sanford Hospital in Thief River Falls, MN. Funeral service to celebrate the life of Amber will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Evangelical Free Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Jeff Gauss officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral. Amber Dawn Culkins was born on September 17, 1978 in Thief River Falls, MN the daughter of Richard and Leona (Good) Culkins. She was baptized at the age of 16. Amber grew up in Plummer, MN and graduated from American School in 1997. Amber was blessed with four wonderful children, Caleb, Tristen, Bailey, and Harley. She loved her children without fault and was the best mother that she could be to them. Amber kept Sundays reserved for cooking and visits with her dad, Richard and her kids. Anyone who knew Amber knew the depth of love she had for her family and the people in her life. Amber had a deep passion for Christian spirituality and enjoyed sharing it with anyone who knew her. Following a long term friendship with Daniel Wold, love blossomed and on June 2, 2014, the couple were married in Crookston, MN. They made their home in Thief River Falls. Together they enjoyed playing pool, singing karaoke, camping, grilling out, and did a lot of snuggling and watching movies. Amber had such a giving heart and would give to anyone in need. Her personality lit up the room wherever she went and everybody wanted to be her friend. Amber always liked to help fix the needs of others before her own. She had a way of making you feel good with her unique and bubbly sense of humor. She was an inspiration to many people because of what she went through and overcame. Amber was always a bargain shopper and wasn't afraid to spread her love of finding a great deal. In September of 2007, Amber opened her pride and joy, "Keen Looks" Consignment in Thief River Falls. She met many new friends there and it was often a gathering place for people to hang out with the "Keen Lady". Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Daniel Wold of Thief River Falls, MN; children, Caleb, Tristen, Bailey and Harley; father, Richard (Carol) Culkins of Plummer, MN; mother, Leona Culkins of Lincoln, NE; siblings, Aaron (Carrie) Culkins, Tyler (Amy) Culkins, Nick Culkins, Casey (Lindsey) Culkins, Kelly Liay, Emma Draper; maternal grandparents, Clyde and Irene Bendickson of Lavina, MT; mother-in-law, Leah Marie; sisters-in-law, Chelsi (fiancé, Kaleb Fisher) Wold & Alicia (DJ) Pearson; "sister", Lavon Carpenter; special friend, Kathryn Jacobson; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. She is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Raymond and Nellie Culkins; maternal grandfather, Bert Good; and numerous extended family members.
