Angeline Lubitz Larson of Thief River Falls, MN age 92 died peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Silver Creek Lutheran Church, rural Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Ale Tulu officiating. Burial will be at Holt Cemetery in Holt, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday at Silver Creek Lutheran Church. Angeline Marie Benitt Augustine was born on December 17, 1921 in Goodhue, MN the daughter of John P. and Alma (Benitt) Augustine. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith in Goodhue, MN in February of 1936 and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. She attended the Sunnyside School, rural Holt, MN and the Crookston Agricultural College in 1939 and 1940. Angeline was lovingly known as Angie. Angeline was united in marriage to Lawrence Leonard Lubitz on April 17, 1941 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Holt, MN. They made their home on the Augustine Family Farm and purchased their farm in Excel Township, Marshall County where they raised their family. They raised small grains and had an assortment of livestock. Lawrence died suddenly in 1971 while moving cattle helping the neighbors. In 1974, Angeline was united in marriage to Chester Larson and they enjoyed life together. In addition to the farm, Angie worked at the New York Bird Food Plant, Arctic Enterprises, and the Curling Club lunch room all in Thief River Falls. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, painting pictures, cake decorating, going on cruises in the Caribbean, touring in Europe, and visiting with family and friends. Angie was an active member of Silver Creek Lutheran Church and was a Ladies Aide officer. Survivors include children, LuAnn Giles of Forest Lake, MN, John (Sandy) Lubitz of Thief River Falls and Terry (Joan) Lubitz of Thief River Falls; grandchildren, Mary (Mark) Jaspers, John (Jesse) Giles, Christopher (Margaret) Pacanowski, David (Michelle) Lubitz, Dean (Dawn) Lubitz, Marie (Judd) Risdal, Billy (Alice DuRose) Lubitz, Marsha (Allan) Benson; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Christian, Anastasia, MacKenzie, JeAnna, Zachariah, Benjamin, Hanna, Xander, and Brigit; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence in 1971; husband, Chester in 1977; parents; infant daughter, Mary in 1942; daughter, Linda Pacanowski in 2009; great-grandson, Christian Skadsem; and brother, Marlan (Doris) Augustine.
