Obituary

Angeline Verbout, 85, of Grygla, MN passed away peacefully at LifeCare Roseau Manor, Roseau, MN on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 with her loving family by her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at St. Clement's Catholic Church in Grygla, MN with Father Adam Hamness presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

Angeline Elizabeth Polansky was born October 31, 1936 in Gilman, WI to George and Mary (Musial) Polansky at her grandparent's home, the Musial's. She was baptized at St. Mary's Czestochowa Catholic Church in Milwaukee, WI and confirmed in the Catholic faith in Middle River, MN. She lived in Whiteford Township of Marshall County near Middle River, MN. The family moved to Rollis Township in June of 1938 where she attended school at Rollis for seven years and in eighth grade, Gatzke consolidated schools. She graduated from Middle River High School with the class of 1954.

On August 7, 1954, Angeline was united in marriage to the love of her life Donald Verbout at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Middle River, MN, and that same year they moved to Olympia, WA where Donald was stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA. They returned to Grygla, MN in May of 1955 where they raised five children, Naomi, Linda, Donavon, Dale and Lisa. In 1972 they purchased a piece of land and built it into a hobby farm in Valley Township east of Grygla, MN.

Angeline was a homemaker and worked at Nelson Café, Rex Café, potato fields, tree planting for the state forestry, turkey processing from 1960-1993 and she began working at Marvin Windows in 1993 where she retired from in December of 2002.

She was a member of St. Clement's Catholic Church in Grygla where she was active and served as an officer in the Ladies Aid, eucharistic minister, choir member, taught release time for many years and enjoyed helping prepare the annual hunter's supper where her job was making the dressing and gravy and she enjoyed talking to all the people. In her later years, Angeline enjoyed quilt making.

Her family was her pride and joy. She enjoyed hosting and decorating for her family around all the holidays. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, yard work, was an excellent housekeeper and Angeline especially enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to the end of the moon.

Survivors children, Naomi (Leon) Johnson of Goodridge, MN, Linda (Timothy) Hermanson of Rush City, MN, Dale (Sherry) Verbout of Roseau, MN and Lisa (fiancé Ryan Clark) Verbout of Moorhead, MN; daughter-in-law, Shirley (Bruce) Wegley of Goodridge, MN; grandchildren, Kristy (Tyson) Treat, Dominick (Minde) Hermanson, Jenny Johnson, Gabriel (Tenille) Hermanson, Chad Johnson, Jasmine Verbout, Madison Verbout, Alexander Verbout and Gabriel Clark; great grandchildren, Ryker Treat, Tayler Treat, Brevyn Treat, Anthony Hermanson, Hunter Hermanson, Carter Hermanson, Caden Hermanson, Mariyah Hermanson, Clayton Johnson and Mason Johnson; sisters-in-law, Betty Polansky and Clara Polansky; 17 Godchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Donald on June 30, 2010; son, Donavon on June 16, 1980; parents; siblings, Lawrence, George, Eugene (Marge), Harold and Mary Ann (Robert).
