Anita Alice Walker was born June 22, 1947 in Minneapolis, MN, the middle daughter of Jerald Webster and Anne Ella (Lorenzen) Walker. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith and attended school in Columbia Heights, where she graduated from Columbia Heights High School in 1965.
Anita moved to Thief River Falls in 1969. She was married and to this union three children were born, Tina, Tonya and Ryan. She worked at Digi Key in Thief River Falls and at Sethres Grocery Store in Newfolden until her illness prevented her from working.
Anita very much enjoyed horses and was active in the North Country Horsemens Club and the Marshall County Sheriff Posse. She most recently served as treasurer with the Horsemens Club. She loved being outdoors, traveling with her horses, and helping friends and family. While being in the outdoors, she would cut wood with her chainsaw and clear trails through the woods. She always wanted her little piece of land in the country and five years ago bought a place north of Holt.
She is survived by three children: Tina (Brian) Hoffart, Grand Forks, ND, Tonya Klemetson, Thief River Falls, MN and Ryan (Crystal) Hible, Thief River Falls, MN; 6 grandchildren: Isaac and Breanna Hoffart, Alexis, Mishayla and Preston Klemetson and Eli Hible; 2 sisters: Deanna Parent, Bertha, MN, Linda Eiler, Coon Rapids, MN and brother Floyd Walker, Ogilvie, MN, several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, a brother, Harold and her beloved horse, Desert Sue.
