Ann Fromm, 82, died Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Merit Care Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN, with Reverend Terri Cuppett officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, St. Hilaire, MN.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Ann Kristina Lassila was born October 13, 1923, at the hospital in Grygla, MN, the daughter of Isaac Wilhem and Hilma Lydia (Anderson) Lassila. As a young girl she moved to Lake Park, MN and later to Stephen, MN, where she grew to adulthood. She attended North Star College for 2 years and later moved to Thief River Falls where she was employed at the Rex Caf and Falls Motel.

On June 19, 1948, Ann was united in marriage to Carl Fromm. She was a homemaker and the couple raised their family in St. Hilaire, MN. She moved to Skylite Apartments in 1990 and resided at Northwest Medical Center, CNC Unit since 2001. She entered the Twin Valley Living Center for the last two weeks of her life.

Ann enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing and reading.

Survived by 3 children: Mary Ann Mehl, St. Paul, MN, LeRoy Fromm, Cheney, KS and Shari (Carl) Fjeld, Twin Valley, MN; 4 grandchildren, Tammi, Kandi, Russell and Jonathan; 5 great grandchildren.

Ann is preceded in death by husband, Carl in May of 1989, parents, a sister, Fannie Hagen and an infant brother.
