Ann Cecilia Stanina of Thief River Falls, MN age 91 died peacefully on January 12, 2015 at Elim Rehab & Care Center in Fargo, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, January 19, 2015 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church on with Father Rick Lambert presiding. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM with a 5:00 PM prayer service on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM on Monday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Ann Cecilia Krysinski was born on July 31, 1923 in Posen, Michigan the daughter of Anthony and Agnes (Kunzer) Krysinski. She was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith. As a baby, Ann moved with her family to Isanti, MN where she attended school and grew to adulthood. On July 31, 1948, Ann was united in marriage to Walter Stanina on in Greenbush, MN. They made their home on a farm in Thief Lake Township, Marshall County, MN. To this union four children were born, Sandra, Marie, Shirley, and Jeffrey. Ann was a faithful farm wife until her husband passed away and her and her family moved to Thief River Falls, MN in 1965. Ann worked as a CNA at Northwest Medical Center until retiring in 1988. She then went to work at Northwest MN Service Cooperative and March 21, 1994 started working at Digi-Key Corporation where she retired on February 12, 2010. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing on the floor with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, knitting, crocheting and keeping her home clean. Ann is survived by her children, Sandra Johnson of West Fargo, ND, Marie (Gerald) Sanders, Shirley Stanina all of Thief River Falls, MN and Jeffrey (Nancy) Stanina of Shepherd, MT; grandchildren, KayLynn Wold, Krystal (Curt) McDonald, Kelly (Laurie) Johnson, Karla (Russ) Bischof, Scott Stanina, Jaynae (Jason) Haugen, Stephanie (Nathan) Keim, Jason Stanina, Lindsey Stanina and Kevin Stanina; great-grandchildren, Cassie (Tate) Meyhoff, Trisha McDonald, Jamison Johnson, Amanda McDonald, Levi Wold, Andrew Johnson, Madison Johnson, Kaylee Haugen, Gracie Haugen and Matthew Haugen; great great-grandchildren, Lily Meyhoff and Ava Meyhoff; and many other relatives and friends. Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Stanina who passed away on September 17, 1965 in Thief Lake Township, MN; parents, Anthony and Agnes Krysinski; brothers, Johnny Krysinski, Vincent Krysinski and Albert Krysinski; sisters, Eva Peterson, Helen Stanina, Frances Krysinski and Mary Pohl.
