Anna Hallameck, 97, died on Saturday, August 10, 2002 in Engelwood, Colorado.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on 10:00 AM, Friday, August 16, 2002, at St. Bernards Catholic Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Father Tim McGee officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Bernards Catholic Cemetery, Thief River Falls.
Visitation will be held at the Johnson-Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls, MN from 5-7 PM on Thursday, August 15, 2002. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the services on Thursday.
Anna Rita Hallameck was born on August 20, 1904 in Fulda, MN to Emery and Anna (Haberman) Hallameck. At the age of 12 she moved to St. Hilaire, MN where she attended school. After graduating high school in St. Hilaire and business school in Mankato, MN she moved to Washington, DC, where she lived with her sisters. She worked as a stenographer for the Justice Department of the Federal Government in Washington, DC. She later moved to New York, NY and continued working for the Federal Government as an attorneys assistant. She moved to Grand Forks, ND 1992 with her sister, Julia Hallameck. In 1993, she moved to Thief River Falls to live with her brother, Bill and sister-in-law Grace. She resided there until May, 1998 when they all moved to Littleton, Colorado.
She is survived by nieces and nephews including Robert Hallameck of Englewood, CO, Ardie Maine of Shoeline, WA, Thomas Hallameck of Kirtland, WA, Mary Ann Crawford of Grand Forks, ND and Russell Crawford of Turtle Lake, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Celia, Julia, Josephine Hallameck, Agnes Crawford, Louise Engen, Molly Hallameck and brothers William Hallameck and Emil Hallameck.
