Anna Linnertz 96, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Wednesday, March 29, 2000 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN. Arrangements with the Petterson Funeral home in Red Lake Falls.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2000 at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Tim Bushy Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held on Friday, 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at the Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Anna Linnertz was born March 25, 1904 in Red Lake Falls, MN daughter of the late Michael and Caroline (Useldinger) Kees. She was baptized and confirmed at the St. Marys Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls. She attended school in Red Lake Falls and also attended seamstress school. On June 1, 1926 she was united in marriage to Hubert Linnertz at Red Lake Falls, MN. The couple lived and farmed North of Red Lake Falls. They retired in 1962 and moved into Red Lake Falls. Hubert passed away October 4, 1975. She lived at Sunset Court in Red Lake Falls for many years and since May 28, 1993 has resided at the Hillcrest Nursing Home. Anna worked with crafts making dolls and pillows, had a big garden and liked canning and baking. She loved spending time with her family.
Anna is survived by three children Mary Ann (Raymond) Schindler of Thief River Falls, MN, Louise Lessard of Oklee, MN and Don (Therese) Linnertz of East Grand Forks, MN. 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren. Two sisters-in-law Louise Kees of Red Lake Falls and Josephine Ridge of Butte, MT, son-in-law David Jones of Missoula, MT.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Hubert, daughter Lucille Jones, one great-grandson and brothers John Kees, Joseph Kees, Lawrence Kees and Bernard Kees and one sister Madeline Kirschman.
