Anne Heden, 71, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, May 4, 2007 at Ekelund Lutheran Church, Goodridge, MN with Rev. Robert Dahlen officiating. Burial will follow at Ekelund Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 3, 2007 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at the chapel of Johnson Funeral Service. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral at church.

Anne Marie Heden was born March 29, 1936 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of John and Ida Belle (Longtin) Kees. She was baptized into the catholic faith at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN. She attended elementary school in Red Lake Falls and graduated from Mount St. Benedict High School in Crookston, MN.

On November 24, 1956, Anne Marie was united in marriage to Leo Weber in Red Lake Falls, MN. To this union three children were born, Mary, Larry and Shirley. They made their home in Appleton and Neenah, Wisconsin for several years and in 1962 following their divorce, Anne Marie and the children returned to live at Red Lake Falls. In 1969 they moved to a farm northeast of Thief River Falls.

At a dance in Plummer, MN Anne Marie met Russell Kenneth Heden and the couple was married on June 3, 1971 by Bennet Larson, Justice Of The Peace, in Oklee, MN. To this union a son, John was born. The family made their home and farmed south of Highlanding, MN. They continued to live on the farm until moving to Thief River Falls in 2002 and lived at Skylite Apartments and in 2006 they both moved into Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.

Anne Marie enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and cards. She enjoyed her life on the farm, where she and Russell were active gardeners. She was a member of Ekelund Lutheran Church and was active with the womans group.

Survivors include husband, Russell Heden of Red Lake Falls; four children, Mary (Charles) Tio of Biloxi, MS, Larry Weber of Goodridge, MN, Shirley (Les) Schmit of Thief River Falls, MN and John Heden of Stillwater, MN; 7 grandchildren, Robert (Melissa) Tio, Steven Weber, Amanda Weber, Katie Weber, April Schmit, Nick (Megan) Schmit and Alec Schmit; a great-granddaughter, Morgan Rose Schmit; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lorraine Yerbich; 3 brothers in infancy; and granddaughter, Rose Marie Heden.
