OBITUARY FOR ANNE OLSON
RED LAKE FALLS, MN
Anne Olson, 86, died on Thursday, October 18, 2001 at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, October 22, 2001 at the Presbyterian Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Reverend David Knecht officiating. Burial will be at the Sunnyslope Cemetery in Mott, ND.
Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 21, 2001 at the Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Red Lake Falls, MN with a 6:00 P.M. prayer service on Sunday evening and at the church for one hour prior to services on Monday.
Anne L. Olson was born on July 14, 1915 at Mott, North Dakota to John and Pauline Mehrer. She was baptized, confirmed and was a member of the First Congregational Church in Mott. She was raised in the Mott Community and graduated from Lincoln High School.

Anne married Olger M. Olson in 1935 in Mott, North Dakota. They lived in Burt, Colgate and Fairmount, ND, and in Red Lake Falls, MN, where he was employed as school superintendent and was also a special education teacher.
While a resident of Fairmount she was an active member of the Methodist Church, served as President and Secretary of the Womens Society of Christian Service, and taught Sunday School for several years. She also was a member of Eastern Star, Literary Club, Homemakers, Sewing Club and was a 4-H and Girl Scout Leader.
In Red Lake Falls she was an active member of the Presbyterian Church where she served as a Ruling Elder, Deacon and as Secretary of the United Presbyterian Women. Anne was a circle member, and taught Sunday School. In later years she was a member of the Governors Council on Aging, Tri-Valley Council, Fair Board and was President of the Meal Site Council. Her hobbies included: growing flowers, vegetable gardening, photography, collecting poetry and sharing it with others, writing letters and sewing.

Anne is survived by two daughters: Sonja (Mrs. Don Miller) Mesa, AZ and Sharyl (Mrs. Don Bense) Mankato, MN; one son, Marvin (Lynda) Olson, Eden Prairie, MN; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one sister, Laura DeLaBarre, Valley City, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and six brothers.

The Olson Family would like to thank their many friends and relatives for their prayers and support and for the cards, gifts, flowers, letters, phone calls, and visits in her last weeks. She will always be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother and Friend to everyone.
