Antoinette Marie Chaput, 99, of Thief River Falls, MN formerly of Oklee, MN died on Saturday, December 26, 1998 at the CNC unit of Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 1998 at 10:30 AM in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee, MN with Father Joe Richards Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery at Oklee.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:30 prayer service at the Petterson Funeral Home in Oklee, MN and also one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Antoinette Marie Marceline was born June 28, 1899 in Olga, ND daughter of Charles and Olthonsine (Boyer) Marceline. She was raised there and attended the St. Aloysius Academy of Oakwood, ND. On March 28, 1921 she was united in marriage to Albert Chaput at Olga, ND. The couple farmed in the Olga and Pembina ND area until 1951 when they left the farm and moved to Crookston, MN where Albert worked as a painter and she worked as a waitress at the Crookston hotel. In 1953 they moved to Watervliet, MI where she cooked at the Convent for the sister of St. Joseph Catholic School. In 1969 they retired and moved to Oklee, MN. Albert passed away November 16, 1971. In 1985 she moved to Valley Home in Thief River Falls and since July of 1997 has resided at the CNC unit in Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls. Antoinette enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and playing bingo.

She is survived by her son Raymond Chaput of Oklee, MN: 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter: 13 great-grandchildren and one sister Yvonne Fossum in Tigard, Oregon.

Preceded in death by her husband, son Eugene Chaput, grandson Jeffrey, great-grandson Justin, her parents and several brothers and sisters.
