Ardelle Kjellberg 84 of Thief River Falls, MN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.
The service to celebrate Ardelle's life will be 3:00 PM Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Evangelical Free Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Kevin MacLean officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
Ardelle Evonne Oswald was born May 25, 1937 in Warren, MN the daughter of Sam and Olga (Larson) Oswald. Ardelle moved to Rosewood, MN with the family at the age of 4 years. She attended the Willowdale School near Rosewood and Lincoln High School graduating with the class of 1955.
She loved attending the Evangelical Free Church in Thief River Falls and was baptized at the Baptist Church in Thief River Falls in 1955.
On October 28, 1961, Ardelle was united in marriage to John Kjellberg at the Mission Covenant Church in Thief River Falls. The couple moved to Numedal Township, Pennington County where they farmed and had dairy cows for 14 years. To this union two children were born, Scott Jon and Stacy Jo, that she loved dearly.
In 1976 the family moved to Thief River Falls and purchased the T.R. Livestock in 1978 and Ardelle continued to work at the Sales Barn as bookkeeper when it moved to Winger, MN.
She worked many different places in Thief River Falls including, Land 'O Lakes, Gamble Robinson, K-Mart and most recently worked at Digi-Key for 17 years and retired April 2016.
Ardelle's hobbies included spending time with family and friends and spoiling the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved working in the yard and enjoyed her cats. She loved a good meal, her sweets and had a great sense of humor.
On September 13, 2003 she married Pastor William Parker. They continued to live in Thief River Falls, enjoying each other's company until Bill's passing on December 25, 2007.
Ardelle is survived by one son, Scott Kjellberg of St. Joseph, MN; son-in-law, Bill (Ann) Wightman; grandchildren, Rocky (Sam) Altepeter, Melissa (Roger) Nale, Brittney (Jordan) Bjerke and Jacob (Chelsea) Wightman; great-grandchildren, Trenton, Levi, Jak, Jasper, Briella, Mason, and Loretta; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Kjellberg (1998) and William Parker (2007); daughter, Stacy Jo Wightman; parents; infant brother, Gaylord; and infant sister, Yvonne Oswald and sister and brother-in-law, Arlyce (Rodney) Twistol.
