Ardith Olson 90 of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on November 5, 2020 at Villa St Vincent, Crookston, MN with her loving family by her side.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Oak Ridge Lutheran Church with Rev. Kristin Ostercamp officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Ardith Anne Pederson was born on July 20, 1930 at Thief River Falls, MN daughter of Olaf and Effie (Joringdal) Pederson.  She was baptized and confirmed at Oak Ridge Lutheran Church.  She attended Prairie View Country School in Numedal Township, Pennington county MN, and graduated in 1947 from Lincoln High School Thief River Falls, MN,

On December 13, 1947 she was united in marriage to Raymond S. Olson at her parents' home.  To this union 5 children were born:  Karen, James, Dale, Susan, and Julie.  The couple settled on a farm in Numedal Township where they tended dairy cattle and farmed small grains.  For many years, Ardith worked at Coast to Coast in Thief River Falls and Gary's Rainbow Bakery.

Ardith enjoyed quilting, knitting, sewing and farm life, but most importantly raising her children.  She was a member of Oak Ridge Lutheran and active in the Ladies Aid, VFW Auxiliary, and Cooties.

As God welcomes you home, we remember your bright smile and delightful chuckle! Just look at how your face shines! Even at 90, you retained that youthful glow! You were a strong, resilient, hard-working woman. Rich with humility and wit. You are loved and will be missed!

Ardith is survived by her loving husband, Raymond S. Olson of Thief River Falls; children, Karen Maier of Emerado, ND, James (Barb) Olson of Watertown, SD, Dale (Darla) Olson of Thief River Falls, Susan Vehar of Evanston, WY and Julie (Ken) Kalsnes of Thief River Falls; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; sisters, Joan Lane of Indianhead, MD and Wanda Johnson of Amery, WI; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Olaf and Effie Pederson; brother, Lloyd Pederson; sister, Evelyn Beecher; sons-in-law, Ken Maier and Tony Vehar.

Memorials are suggested to Oak Ridge Lutheran Church or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
