Arlene Wilcox of Thief River Falls, MN, 78, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016 at her home in Thief River Falls, MN.

Memorial service will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Vicki Saude-Worthington Officiating. Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls at a later time. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Arlene Della Wilcox was born January 21, 1938 at Roseau, MN daughter of George and Eva (Keo) Burkel. Alene was raised in the Greenbush, MN area where she attended school. She attended cosmetology school.

Arlene was united in marriage to Harry Tollefson in 1958, to this union there were 3 children Linda, Mike and Amy. They made their home in the Thief River Falls area where Arlene worked at  Arctic Cat.

She was united in marriage to Charles Wilcox in 1990.

Arlene enjoyed Landscape painting, making quilts, gardening and enjoyed the company of her cats and dogs.

Arlene is survived by her special friend Frank Cwikla, daughter Linda (Dennis) Byklum of Grygla, MN and Mike Tollefson of Stewartville, MN; grandson Tanner Tollefson; siblings Frank Burkel in Utah, Sharon Halverson of St. Cloud, MN and Delores (Al) Kohatek of Texas along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Amy Tollefson, granddaughter Jamie Lea Harmer, grandson Douglas Owen Harmer, husbands Harry and Charles; siblings Jack Burkel, Robert Burkel and infant sister Marilyn Burkel; parents George and Eva Burkel.
