Arthur Gagner, 97, died Sunday, May 27, 2007 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Arthur Armound Gagner was born January 10, 1910 at Terrebonne, MN the son of Octave and Roseanna (LeBlanc) Gagner. He grew up on a farm near Terrebonne and was baptized and confirmed at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Terrebonne.

On June 25, 1940, he was united in marriage to Martha Woehle in Bagley, MN. They lived on a small farm near Terrebonne most of their married life. Art worked at the American Crystal sugar beet plant and was also a construction worker. Art and Martha lived in Brooks from 1981 until 2003 at which time they moved to Sunset Apartments in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Art loved gardening in later life and dancing. He also enjoyed music, playing cards and wood working.

Loving family members include his wife, Martha of 67 years; nine sons and two daughters, Gary (Mireille) Gagner of Minneapolis, MN, Dale (Carol) Gagner of Ogilvie, MN, Dennis (Sue) Gagner of Burbank, WA, Russell (JoAnn) Gagner of Hugo, MN, Gloria (Richard) Ophus of Hugo, MN, Vern Gagner of Mound MN, Richard Gagner and friend Debra Rahn of Ham Lake, MN, Donna (Ron) Moses of Albuquerque, NM, Nick Gagner and friend Sheila Jaster of Hutchinson, MN, Roger (Renee) Gagner of Lonsdale, MN, and Lauren (Deb) Gagner of Minneapolis, MN; 20 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rebecca Gagner of Litchfield, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by twin children, Elizabeth and Catherine; parents; daughter-in-law, Janice Gagner; granddaughter, Kimberly Gagner; and brothers and sisters, George Gagner, Joseph Gagner, Lalia Gagner, Marie (Gagner) Rivard, Robert Gagner, Evelyn (Gagner) Derosier, Bernice Gagner, Leonard Gagner, Sr. Denise Gagner, and Florence (Gagner) Spear.
