Audrey Ann Kelley Heieren, 85, of Thief River Falls, MN died on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her home, surrounded by family and her dog Betsy, following a short battle with cancer. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December, 30, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. John Voelker, PhD. officiating. Burial will be held at Minnesota State Veteran's Cemetery, Little Falls, MN on Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Audrey Ann Kelley Heieren was born on February 24, 1929 in Eagle Bend, Minnesota to Harry Chester and Avis Ione (Smith) Kelley. She was baptized on July 26, 1941 at Methodist Episcopal Church, Bemidji, MN and confirmed on April 2, 1944 at First Methodist Church, Bemidji, MN. Audrey attended Bemidji High School and graduated from American School of Chicago. On June 21, 1948, Audrey took Emil Clifford Heieren's hand in marriage at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. She worked as a Teacher's Aide at Mark Twain and Franklin Schools, and later doing alterations for Bjorkmans and Hamiltons clothing stores and for many private customers. Audrey loved quilting for Lutheran World Relief and for her own family. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Audrey is survived by her Children: Daniel (Iris) Heieren of Houlton, WI, Rebecca Heieren of Maple Grove, MN, Emily Meyer of Thief River Falls, MN, and David (Robin) Heieren of Stillwater, MN; Grandchildren: Guy Luxenburg of Centerville, MN, Tara Buckbee (Dave Dobleman ) of Forest Lake, MN, Jessica (Joey)Werman of Thief River Falls, MN, Danielle Meyer of Thief River Falls, MN, Sadie Heieren, Finn Heieren, and Cece Heieren of Stillwater, MN; Great Grandchildren: Jordan Bakke, Allanah Luxenburg, Ann Swanson, Lola Werman, Maiya Werman, Harlow Hawkinson, Hayden Hawkinson and Daniel Dobelman, and step Great-Grandchild, Innocenzio Werman. She is preceded in death by her Husband: Emil Clifford Heieren; Daughter: Faith Ann (Heieren) Langseth; Parents: Harry Kelley and Avis (Smith) Kelley; Brothers: Max Kelley, Harold Kelley, Jerry Kelley, Richard Kelley; Sisters: Margaret Motl, Lucille Gustafson, Bernice Chandler, and Ione Kelley. In Lieu of flowers memorial are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN.
