Austin Russel Martell was born on July 19, 2000, in Thief River Falls, MN son of Brian and Nikki (Konickson) Martell. He was raised in Thief River Falls, MN where he attended Lincoln High School graduating with the class of 2018.

Austin went to work for Digi Key and most recently moved to Fargo where he was seeking employment. He also worked for Asp farms during harvest seasons. He went back to school at Northland Technical College in East Grand Forks and received an EMT certification.

Austin loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, cutting trees and doing wood working. He was a very caring, creative and talented young man who loved with his whole heart "full throttle". He has had a huge impact on everyone he met and was always there to lend a helping hand and a shoulder to cry on. Austin had an inseparable bond with his brother Aiden, they were the best of friends, worst of enemies and the competition was fierce. He was a great protector of his little sisters Alaina and Anna and loved to torment them.

Austin is survived by his mother Nikki (David) Lunsetter of Red Lake Falls, MN, father Brian (Janea) Martell of Grygla, MN; siblings Aiden Martell of Red Lake Falls, MN, Alaina Lunsetter of Red Lake Falls, MN and Anna Lunsetter of Red Lake Falls, MN, Lindsay Riggs of Stacy, MN, Brittany (Shawn) Rohde of LeGrange, NC and Benjamin Riggs of Lino Lakes, MN; niece Zoey; nephews Seth, Ryker, Xavier, Maxwell and Jameson; grandparents Darrell (Barbara) Martell of Red Lake Falls, MN and Don (Karen) Konickson of Plummer, MN; Wayne (Barbara) Lunsetter of Gatzke, MN, Larry (Donna) Stone of Schleswig, IA; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Austin is preceded in death by his great-grandparents Louis (Dora) Derosier, Alice Konickson, Gus Konickson, Russel (Eunice) Hams, Francis (Crystal) Martell; uncle Christopher, his 4 legged best friend Maddie.
