Beatrice Talbert, 92, died Monday, March 13, 2006 at CNC Unit of Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls, MN.
Funeral service will be Saturday, March 18, 2006 " 2:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church, Grygla, MN with Pastor Mary Gilthvedt, officiating. Burial will be in St. Petri Cemetery, rural Grygla, MN.
Visitation will be 4 " 7 PM, Friday, March 17, 2006 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN with a 5 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to service at the church, Saturday.
Beatrice Josephine Trontvedt was born June 12, 1913 on the family farm, the daughter of Thor and Caroline (Tronnes) Trontvedt. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Petri Lutheran Church. She attended Eckvoll Country School and graduated from Goodridge High School, Goodridge, MN. Following high school, Beatrice moved to California where she met Harris Talbert.
In 1937, Beatrice was united in marriage to Harris Spencer Talbert. Spencer served in the United States Navy during World War II. During that time, Beatrice worked in an ammunition factory in Louisiana, the state where Spencer was from. After the war, Spencer retired and the couple moved to Grygla, MN. Together they drove semi and hauled fruit from down south and also haled horses to Anchorage, AK. Spencer died in 1981 and Beatrice continued to live in Grygla. In July 1999, Beatrice moved to CNC at Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls, MN, where she has since resided.
Beatrice always enjoyed spending time with her sister Hilda and always treated Hildas children as her own. She enjoyed traveling to Norway where she went three times and also enjoyed traveling around the United States. She liked fishing with Spencer. Beatrice was a good Christian and each day enjoyed reading Gods Word. She loved the Lord! Beatrice attended Liberty Chapel in Grygla.
Beatrice is survived by a sister, Hilda Rue, Thief River Falls, MN as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by parents, brothers, Tommy and Selmer Trontvedt.
