Obituary

Bentley Paulson, 86, died on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at their home in Thief River Falls, MN with his loving family at his side. Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, May 7, 2012, at Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend John Golv and Reverend Ale Tulu officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service on Sunday evening and also one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Monday. Bentley G. Paulson was born July 16, 1925 in Alvarado, MN the son of Benhart Martin and Gina Carren (Mickelson) Paulson. He was baptized and confirmed at McCrea Church in Marshall County, MN. He attended country school near Viking, MN, thru the 8th grade. He lived in the towns of Alvarado, Radium and Viking, MN. He married Phyllis Mykleby on October 28, 1960 and later divorced. To this union 2 children were born: Kathryn and Mark. Bentley farmed most of his life until 1967, when he started working at Arctic Cat. He worked there until 1980 and then worked at the pellet plant, worked for area farmers and worked at the Lindemoen Farms for almost 25 years. He held membership with the Eagles. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his later years, Bentley enjoyed traveling, camping, and fishing with Beulah. They also enjoyed many, many dances around the county with their group of friends. He is survived by his sweetheart of 15 years, Beulah McGlynn; two children: Kathryn (Pat) Conlin, West Bend, WI and Mark (Michelle) Paulson, Thief River Falls, MN; 6 grandchildren: Mark Paulson, Carolyn Paulson, Alexander Conlin, Benjamin Conlin, Daniel Conlin and Richard Conlin; sisters: Opal Dargus, Thief River Falls, MN, Audrey Flood, Stillwater, MN, Maxine Thorson, Rochester, MN and Junis Horgen, Warren, MN. Preceded in death by parents and 2 brothers, Gordon and Frank.
