Bernardine Schmidt, Red Lake Falls, MN, age 86, died Monday, January 15, 2018 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center, Erskine, MN

No service is planned at this time, a graveside service will be held later in the spring at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Bernardine Pauline Benidictine Schmidt was born March 20, 1931 at Red Lake Falls, MN, the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Hirsch) Schmidt.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph's Church, Red Lake Falls, MN and attended Lafayette High School, Red Lake Falls.

Bernardine began working in the Red Lake Falls Movie Theater, then worked many years working for Tischart's Federated Store in Red Lake Falls and then transitioned to buying and selling antiques at trade shows in Northern Minnesota.  She lived her entire life among family and friends in Red Lake Falls.

Survived by her son Scott David Schmidt of Red Lake Falls, MN.

Preceded in death by her parents; grandparents Conrad and Katherin Hirsch; brothers, Donald Schmidt in 2000 and Bernard Schmidt in 1999; sisters Marcella Helland in 1991 and Teresa Hanson in 1998.
