Obituary

Betty Stinar, 89 of Thief River Falls, MN passed away peacefully on Friday, August 5, 2022 with her loving family by her side.

The service to celebrate Betty's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Kristin Ostercamp officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Warren, MN.

Betty Louella Wallace was born October 22, 1932 in Warren, MN the daughter of Glen and Eva (Schue) Wallace. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Euclid, MN and also attended school in Euclid.

On November 14, 1951, Betty was united in marriage to Myron Stinar at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Euclid, MN. They settled on a farm near Warren, MN and to this union four sons were born, Donald, Glen, Wayne and John. On their farm the family raised small grains and had dairy cattle.

In the early 1960's they moved to Alvarado, MN where Betty worked at the Sands Locker Plant. In 1977 they moved to Fourtown, MN where they owned and operated the Fourtown Store.

Myron passed away in 1982 and at this time Betty moved to Warroad, MN where she worked at Marvin Windows until retirement in 1997. After retirement, Betty made her home in Thief River Falls.

Betty enjoyed rummage sales, cooking, playing bingo, having lunch with her friends, serving coffee and cookies to her visitors, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Donald (Jill) Stinar of Warren, MN; Glen (Cheryl) Stinar of Roosevelt, MN, Wayne (Pam) Stinar of Cozad, NE and John (Connie) Stinar of Goodridge, MN; grandchildren, Wendy, Carrie, Stacy (Steve), Laurie (Corey), Adam (Valerie), Michaela,  and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Tristan, Zach, Dillon, Jordan, Lexie, Nathan (Cassidy), Blake, Cade, Landon, Hunter, Keana, Jaxon, Bryson, Leelyn, Maci and Easton; brother-in-law, Ralph Stinar of Fergus Falls; sister-in-law, Elaine Salentiny of Euclid, MN; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Stinar; and her parents.
