Bonnie Anderson, 59, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls, MN.

A Gathering for family and friends will be held 10 " 11 AM, Saturday, April 15, 2006, with a service at 11 AM, with Reverend Nancy Hanson officiating, all at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN.

Bonnie Sue Malafa was born August 18, 1946, the daughter of Vernon and Sena (Peters) Malafa. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith. She attended school in Grand Forks, ND and earned her LPN degree at Bemidji and also earned a degree in Cosmetology.

On December 18, 1976, Bonnie was united in marriage to Kenneth Anderson in Grand Forks, ND. The couple made their home in Grand Forks, ND and East Grand Forks, MN. Bonnie worked as a cosmetologist and throughout her years, Bonnie enjoyed working with elderly people. Bonnie was a seasonal worker at the beet plant in East Grand Fork and stayed at home to raise her 3 daughters, Tammy, Lisa and Michelle.

Bonnie enjoyed animals, bingo and mostly loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Bonnie is survived by 3 children: Tammy (Deon) Hansen, Newfolden, MN, Lisa (Charles) Lindgren, Thief River Falls, MN and Michelle (fianc, Chris Norman) Stapleton, Thief River Falls, MN; 6 grandchildren, Coral Lindgren, Tanner and Taylor Hansen, Rayne, Shea and Reid Norman; step-mother, Turene Malafa, East Grand Forks, MN; brothers and sisters: Rodney (Lois) Malafa, Black Canyon City, AZ, Cindy (John) Kingsbury, Bemidji, MN, Bonnie Egeland, East Grand Forks, MN, Paul (Linda) Cariveau, East Grand Forks, MN and Jerry Cariveau, California.

She is preceded in death by husband, Kenneth, parents and several aunts and uncles.
