Bonnie I. Hansen, 78, died Friday, October 15, 2004 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Bonnie Isabel Wayne was born on August 14, 1926 at Donaldson, MN the daughter of Louis and Rachel Wayne. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith.

She was united in marriage to Ansel Hansen on March 22, 1945. The couple made their home in Thief River Falls. Bonnie worked as a waitress at the Club Caf and the Rex Caf from 1968 to 1990. Ansel died in 1986. Bonnie moved to McIntosh, MN in 1999.

Bonnie enjoyed reading, puzzles, watching TV, working with flowers and plants, collecting hummingbirds and shopping. She is a life long member of the VFW Auxiliary in Thief River Falls.

Survivors include sons, Jerry Hansen of Thief River Falls, MN Jerome (Peggy) Hansen of Grand Forks, ND, Jack Hansen of Thief River Falls, MN and Jody Hansen of Keewatin, MN; daughters, Joy Pederson of Edinburg, TX and Janell (Dean) Walstad of McIntosh, MN; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Art Wayne of Greeley, CO and Ernie Rust in Sacramento, CA; sister, LaVonne Johnson of Karlstad, MN; and many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ansel; son-in-law, Royce Pederson; brothers, Frances Wayne, Myles Rust, Dewey Rust, Benny Rust, Tillman Rust and Sam Bud Wayne; sisters, Pearl Rust, Nick Lagerquist, Bella Rust and Arlene Hendrickson.
