Bonnie Roisland, 70, died Thursday, August 8, 2002 at Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Monday, August 12, 2002, at St. Francis Xavier Church, Oklee, MN, with Father John Kleinwachter officiating. Burial will be at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Oklee, MN.

Visitation will be 5 " 7 PM, Sunday, August 11, 2002, at the Johnson Funeral Service, Oklee, MN, with a 7 PM Wake Service and for one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Bonnie Jean Hince was born May 15, 1932, in a log cabin on the family farm, in Equality Township, Red Lake County near Oklee, MN, the daughter of Elmer and Marie (Wicks) Hince. She was the first child to be baptized into the Catholic Faith by Father Keogh Patnode and also was confirmed into the Catholic Faith. She grew up and attended Oklee High School.

On September 23, 1950, Bonnie was united in marriage to Ernest Roisland in Thief River Falls, MN. She held many various jobs in Grand Forks, ND and was a very hard worker all her life. Bonnie returned to Oklee in 1969. She worked for Inter County several years as well as several places, including Oklee School.

Bonnie dearly loved spending time with grandkids and great grandkids. She enjoyed flowers, reading, bird watching, traveling, rides in R.Ts truck and movies.

Survivors include 5 children, Liane (Bruce) Barton, Fergus Falls, MN, Kerry (Carol) Roisland, Grand Forks, ND, Jan (Ron) Skallet, Thief River Falls, MN, Vicky (Loren) Vettleson, Trail, MN and Keven (Linda) Roisland, Oklee, MN; 13 grandchildren, Teisha (Paul) Magee, St. Paul , MN, Ryan Barton, Barnesville, MN, Kelsey Roisland, Grand Forks, ND, Ronnie (Valerie) Skallet, Thief River Falls, MN, Kory Skallet, Thief River Falls, MN, Aaron Skallet, Thief River Falls, MN, Rebecca (fianc, Patrick Glasser), Thief River Falls, MN, Travis (LeeAnn) Vettleson, Clearbrook, MN, Trent Vettleson, Oklee, MN, Heidi Vettleson, Grand Forks, ND, Thor Vettleson, Trial, MN, Mandy Roisland, Thief River Falls, MN and Casey Roisland, Oklee, MN; 10 great grandchildren, Sage, Caillen, Rhiannon, Connor, Brenna, Brady, Parker, Hunter, Cody and Serenna; 4 sisters, Sherry (Dave) Kankel, Red Lake Falls, MN, Kathy (Bill) McDonald, Karlstad, MN, Mary Lou (Rudy) Gunderson, Newfolden, MN and Joan (Les) Lien, Gonvick, MN; brother, Don (Ericka) Hince, Bayreuth, Germany and many nieces and nephews.
