Boyd Nay, 70, died Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Thief River Care Center, Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Mary Gilthvedt officiating. Burial will be at Lone Oak Cemetery, Fourtown, MN.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the Johnson Funeral Service, Wednesday.

Boyd Maynard Nay was born August 2, 1936 at home in Lake Bronson, MN, the son of Paul and Blenda (Bloomquist) Nay. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith.

Boyd grew up in Lake Bronson and worked on a Keeney farm for quite a few years. He then moved with his brother to California, where he worked at a Navel Base. He was married and helped raise 5 step children. He also did some carpet laying and cleaning. He was divorced and bought a home in Nice, CA and then moved to Fourtown, MN about 15 years ago.

Boyd loved to bow hunt with his cross bow. He also liked to drive around and hunt. Every summer, Boyd raised a couple pigs and every day he would drive to Wannaska, MN or Thief River Falls for breakfast. He was a big gambler, who enjoyed the nickel machines.

He is survived by brothers: Byron Nay and Lee Nay both of Lake Bronson, MN; sisters: Adeline Johnson, Lake Bronson, MN and Margaret Simpson, California; special friends, Robert and Wendy Englund, Grygla, MN, who have helped care for Boyd,

Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Fred and Floyd; sisters, Hazel Hanson, Mabel Krueger and Rose Augustson.
