Brenda Kay (Anderson) Larson passed away peacefully June 15, 2022 at the Thief River Care Center Thief River Falls, Minnesota with her family at her side.
Brenda was born March 1, 1969 in Roseau, Minnesota to Duane and Marcia Anderson. She was baptized at the Pinecreek Lutheran church. She grew up attending schools in Roseau, Columbia Heights and Karlstad, Minnesota as well as Dickinson, ND.
She married her first husband, Greg Larson in Karlstad, Minnesota. Later, she traveled to Washington State and worked for a cabinet manufacturer. She met her second husband, Dave Lane, while in Washington.
She attended Northland College, acquiring an Information Technology degree and also studied satellite imagery analysis. She worked in IT for a while but her real passion was cooking. She became a chef at Biff's Kitchen and before her illness incapacitated her, she was chef at the Rusty Nail in Thief River Falls, MN.
Brenda could taste a recipe and name all the ingredients. She shared hundreds of recipes, mouth-watering photos and ideas with all her family and friends. She wrote and published a colorful family cookbook with her mother. She had plans to work on publicly sharing healthy, tasty meals if she recovered. "Brenda loved her family very much."
Brenda is survived by four children, Kyle Larson, Nicole (Larson) Wojciechowski (Ajay), Kathryn Larson and Ian Lane. Also, surviving are her mother Marcia Davis (Bruce), brothers David Norstebon (Sue) and Duane Anderson (Kathy). Also, several grandchildren: Lexi, Emily, Kyra and Kyle Larson Jr.; Zaqury and Zoe Wojciechowski; Olivia and Odin Lane; and Zander and Bo Fremling. Numerous surviving aunts, uncles and cousins will miss her recipe and food posts on Facebook.
She was preceded in death by her father, Duane E. Anderson, paternal grandparents Fred and Florence Anderson and maternal grandfather, Melvin Norstebon.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
