Bret Colden, 51, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at his residence in Red Lake Falls, MN.

A gathering time for family and friends will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.

Bret Ervin Colden was born on September 2, 1965 in Warroad, MN to Daryl and Sharon (Johnston) Colden.  He attended school in Warroad and Thief River Falls, MN.

He enjoyed working on cars, spending time with family, music and football.

Survivors include his daughter, Brianna Colden; step-mother, Shirley Colden and step-father, Larry (Dianne) Seurer; brothers, Brandon Seurer and Bart Colden; step siblings, Jeannie Seurer, Brandi Decker, Jessica Nicole Reese, Valerie Jorstad, Ardella Smith; uncle, Spencer (Carol) Johnston; aunt, Barb Robison; many nieces and nephews.

Bret is preceded in death by mother, Sharon Seurer; father, Daryl Colden; brothers, Lenny Colden and Lonnie Colden; step-brother, Larry Seurer Jr.; grandparents, Vernon and Alma Johnston and Ervin and Gertrude Colden.
