Brian Solberg, of Thief River Falls, MN passed away April 24, 2015 at Thief River Falls, MN. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Ekelund Lutheran Church with Reverend Robert Dahlen officiating. Burial will be held at Ekelund Lutheran Church Cemetery rural Goodridge, MN. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 5 - 7 PM at Johnson Funeral service in Thief River Falls, MN and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Brian Richard Solberg was born December 4, 1954 son of Chester and Ordell (Stenvik) Solberg at Thief River Falls, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Ekelund Lutheran Church. He attended country school District 59, Goodridge High School graduating in 1973 and also attended Staples AVTI receiving a degree in Diesel Mechanic. On November 15, 1975 he was united in marriage to Monna Solberg at Ekelund Lutheran Church. To this union Jared was born. The family made their home near Goodridge and Brian owned and operated Northwest Asphalt Company over 20 years. Monna passed away May 2005. On July 11, 2014 Brian was united in marriage to Argenis Polo at the First Baptist Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Brian sold the Northwest Asphalt Co and moved into Thief River Falls, MN. He purchased Les's Sanitation and continued to operate the business until the time of his passing. Brian enjoyed going out to his farm near Goodridge, playing guitar, cooking and computers. He liked to restore old cars, traveling, riding his Harley, fishing, dancing and country music. He enjoyed family gatherings. He was very loving, kind and generous. He is survived by his wife Argenis Solberg of Thief River Falls, MN; children Jared Solberg of Thief River Falls, MN; Erika, Christian and Valentina Polo all of Thief River Falls, MN; mother Ordell Solberg of Thief River Falls, MN; his twin Bruce (Diane) Solberg of Goodridge, MN and younger brother Paul (Sue) Solberg Minot, ND along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Monna Solberg, father Chester and his brother David.
