Bruce Dokken of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on January 18, 2019 at his home in Thief River Falls, MN.

Memorial service will be held on Monday January 28, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Larry Myhrer Officiating. Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery at Beltrami, MN later in the spring. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Bruce Kenneth Dokken was born December 20, 1950 at Crookston, MN son of Harold Kenneth and Lela Mae (Fisher) Dokken. Bruce graduated from Fertile-Beltrami High School in 1968 and Thief River Falls AVTI in 1971 with a degree in auto mechanics. Bruce married Lucille Faye Bursheim on June 17, 1972 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh, MN.

Bruce owned Main Street Standard service station in Thief River Falls for many years. After closing the business in 2002, Bruce began working for Arctic Cat as a security guard where he remained until his retirement in 2017. Bruce had many dogs throughout his life and he especially loved his Basset Hounds. Bruce was blessed with exceptional mechanical skills and could fix almost anything, especially if it was a Ford.

Bruce is survived by his wife Lucille; sons Harold (Kristine) of Roseau, Matthew (Melody) and Monte (Kimberly) of Thief River Falls; grandsons Thor Roggenbuck, Austin Branchaud, and Henry Dokken; sister Phyllis Dokken; aunt Ila Gast, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and his parents-in-law.
