OBITUARY FOR BRUCE WINSLOW
PLUMMER, MN

Bruce Winslow, 48, of Plummer died on Sunday, October 11, 1998 at his residence in Plummer, MN.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 15, 1998 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Plummer, MN with Pastor David Brockopp officiating. Burial will follow at Emardville Cemetery, rural Plummer, MN.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.

Bruce Allen Winslow was born on August 10, 1950 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Rosemary (DuBay) Winslow. He was baptized and confirmed into the Christian Faith in Underwood, MN. Bruce was raised by foster parents, Lloyd and Alice Scramstad in Underwood, MN. He attended school and graduated Underwood High School in 1968.

Following High School, Bruce went to work for Honeywell in Golden Valley, MN for 4 years and then went to work for Albert Tervo Construction in Plummer, MN for 2 years. He then went to work for the Red Lake County Sheriffs Department and was there 4 years. Bruce went on to become Chief of Police in Lake Bronson, MN. He later worked construction in Minneapolis for Sears for 2 year and for Richie Brothers Auctioneers in Bloomington, MN for 13 years. Bruce was then unable to work due to his deteriorating health.

On August 28, 1971 Bruce was united in marriage to Darlene Prahl in Minneapolis, MN.

Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, going for rides in the country, watching & playing football, and especially spending time with his family. He was a member of the Plummer Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene of Plummer, MN; 3 children, Tonnie, Chris, and Kimberly; brothers & sisters, Ferd (Anna) DeHate of Plummer, Jane (Jim) Hurlock of Las Vegas, NV, Will Winslow of Matthews, MO, Barbara (Orlin) Hovland of Rothsay, MN; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother; foster parents; and sister, Susan.
