Butch Fanfulik, 61, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, October 12, 2018 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Father Rick Lambert presiding. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral mass on Friday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church.

Donald George Fanfulik was born May 27, 1957 in Thief River Falls, MN the son of George and Lillian (Berard) Fanfulik. He was baptized and confirmed at Dorothy, MN. He attended St. Hilaire Elementary School, Franklin Middle School and Lincoln High Schools in Thief River Falls, graduating with the class of 1975. Butch then attended the Northland Community College in Thief River Falls where he earned degrees in Auto Body and Auto Mechanics. In 2005 he graduated from NCTC with an Electrician Degree, eventually earning his Journeyman's license.

Over the years, Butch worked several jobs in the Thief River Falls area including: School District 564, Arctic Cat, Hydromac, LB Hartz, Dyrdal Farms, Steiger Manufacturing and most recently at Falls Electric.

Butch enjoyed hunting with his family & friends, playing softball for the St. Hilaire Bears, mechanic work, spending time with his grandkids, mud-running, watching & sometimes performing with the Just For Kix dancers, making deer sausage, attending auction sales and hosting family/friends get-togethers. Butch was a fun-loving, out-going, hard-working man who would take the shirt off his back for anybody!

He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN.

Survivors include his loving sons, Nathan (fiancé Nicki Amundson) Fanfulik and Tracey Fanfulik all of Thief River Falls; loving daughter, Bethany Fanfulik of Moorhead, MN; grandkids, Kale, Adrienne and Greycen; mother, Lillian Fanfulik of Thief River Falls; siblings, Deborah (Doug) Reierson of Grand Forks, ND, Mike (Paula) Fanfulik of St. Hilaire, Val Fanfulik Thompson of Grand Forks, ND, and Kevin (Sherri) Fanfulik of Ohio; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, George; and sister, Margaret Bergh.
