Carol Gerardy, 79 of Plummer, MN passed and joined the love of her life on Wednesday, November 15, 2017.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM with a 5:00 PM prayer service on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral mass on Monday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, November 20, 2017 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Father Rick Lambert presiding. Burial will be at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Plummer, MN.

Carol Cecilia Davis was born on August 20, 1938 on the family farm near Brooks, MN the daughter Charles and Dorilda (Carriveau) Davis. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Brooks, MN. She attended school in Oklee, MN and graduated with the class of 1957.

On April 12, 1958 Carol was united in marriage to Jerome Gerardy at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee, MN. The couple made their home on the Gerardy family farm North of Plummer where they raised their 8 children.

Carol had many hobbies and interests which included gardening, baking, cooking, canning, spending time with her family and was an avid Vikings fan.  Sunday dinners and holiday gatherings with family was a priority for Carol. Family was always first.

Carol and Jerry raised 8 children and still found time to take in numerous foster children, who still were a part of their lives as they grew older. They also welcomed anyone else that needed food or a place to stay. She always had a pot of coffee and homemade donuts for the adults and candy in the cupboard for the kids.

Carol and Jerry taught their children many traditions, such as making sausage and horseradish.  They enjoyed making lefse, donuts and cookies together to share with friends and family during the holidays and coleslaw for many community events.  Carol was a kind, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to so many.  She was a strong woman of her faith.  She will be missed by so many.

She looked forward to her Saturday outings with her life-long friend, Emilie Skjerven.

Carol was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls.

Carol is survived by her loving children:  Tammy, Charles (Cheryl), Kevin, Nancy Wallberg, Peter (Mary), Tony (Sheila), Barbie Konickson (Mike), David; grandchildren:  Kyle (Whitney) and Jeremy, Joshua Gerardy, Matthew (Melissa), Chris (Sarah), Nicholas Wallberg, Rachel and Hannah Gerardy, Mallory (Charlie) Bernstrom, Brett (Hannah) and Abigail (special friend Logan) Gerardy, Gabrielle and Briana Gerardy, Dylan and Rylee Gerardy; great grandkids: Bella Gerardy, Emmersyn & Karolyne Gerardy, Dakota Wallberg, Aubrey & Lyla, Briar Bernstrom; sisters: Ella Peterson, Mary Lou (LeRoy) Mersenski, Jenny (Joel) Vattendahl and brother, Charles (Janette) Davis; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry on February 21, 2017; parents; and brother-in-law, Warren Hanson.
