Carol Faye Larson, 63 of Thief River Falls, MN died on Friday, September 10, 2010 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor George Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Monday, September 13, 2010 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.

Carol Faye Anderson was born on September 6, 1947 in Thief River Falls, MN the daughter of Earl Alvin and Dorothy Mae (Swanson) Anderson. She was baptized at Oak Ridge Lutheran Church rural Thief River Falls on October 19, 1947 and confirmed on October 22, 1961 at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. She attended elementary school in St. Hilaire and Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls.

On December 6, 1962 Carol was united in marriage to LeRoy Larson at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN and to this union three children were born, Perry Lee, Jerri Faye and Kristina Ruby. Carol enjoyed time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Carol was very proud of her daughters, 4 granddaughters and 3 great-granddaughters. Carol was a very kind, caring, and patient person who always had time for others. She had a very deep faith in the lord. Carol resided in Thief River Falls for most of her life and the last two years of her life she resided in Crystal, MN where she could be closer to her family.

Carol worked as a nurses aide at Northwestern Hospital in Thief River Falls for a few years. Later in life she worked as a transportation assistant for the Thief River Falls School District.

Carol enjoyed reading, especially to her granddaughters. She also enjoyed crafts, and listening to country music.

Survivors include daughters, Jerri Faye (Rick) Gertken of Richmond, MN and Kristina Ruby Larson of Crystal, MN; granddaughters, Amanda Faye (fianc, Paul Fischer) Bottem of Watkins, MN, Natasha Marie Bottem of Richmond, MN, Kaitlyn Mae Bottem of Richmond, MN, Cierra Faye Larson of Crystal, MN; great-granddaughters, Hailey Faye, Amelia Ann, and Lola Harriet; cousins, Gaylene Lamb of TN and Roxanne Thygeson of Wasilla, AK; special friends, Kathy and Ron Chalmers of Thief River Falls, MN.

She is preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Perry in 1964; and uncle, Charles T. Anderson.
