Carol Wikstrom, 64, died on Sunday, February 24, 2008, with the care of Douglas County Hospice, at her sons home in Alexandria, MN.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Wikstrom Cemetery, Strandquist, MN.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Carol Ann Wikstrom was born on August 7, 1944, in Huntley Township, Middle River, MN. She spent her childhood there attending school to the 8th grade.

On July 28, 1973, she married Dallas Wikstrom. She worked at Arctic Cat, Land O Lakes, and part time cleaning, and, as a wonderful homemaker.

Her favorite pastimes were dancing,(in her younger days),listening to Country Music,(especially Allen Jackson and George Jones!) watching wrestling, going to stock car races, baking, cleaning, doing puzzles, dining out, and she loved visiting family.

Carol is survived by husband Dallas; son; Milton Wikstrom, (Sharon), of Alexandria, 1 daughter; Annette Lian, (Ross), of Thief River Falls MN, 6 grandchildren; Jeremy, Christopher, and Adam Lian, all of Thief River Falls, MN; Adam Wikstrom of Alexandria; Jodi Krey, (Tim)of Dellwood, MN, and Brandi Hanson, (Jeremy) of Plymouth, MN, and 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Clarice Rasmussen and Christine Veselka both of Middle River, MN; brothers, Ernie Rud of Thomson, ND, Carl Rud Jr. of Grand Forks, ND, Leroy Rud of Grand Forks, ND and Kenneth Rud of CA. as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Carl Rud and Clara Hoff, 2 sisters; Clarinda Cormier and Jenny Rud, and a brother; Arthur Rud.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
