Caroline Brunelle, 94, died on Sunday, July 04, 2004 at the CNC Unit of Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

Caroline Goulet was born December 29, 1909 in Crookston, MN the daughter of John J. and Alphonsine (St. Martin) Goulet. She was baptized at St. Anne Catholic Church in Crookston and was confirmed at St. Peter Catholic Church in Gentilly. Caroline attended District 140 School in Polk, County, MN.

Caroline was united in marriage to Patrick J. Brunelle, November 12, 1928 at St. Peter Catholic Church.

She worked at M & D Caf, was an owner-partner of the Mint Caf with Sally Barstad from 1946 to 1951. Caroline also worked at Sioux Caf, Northrup School for 12 years and the Eagles Club for 40 years until retiring at the age of 89.

Caroline held membership in the Eagles Auxiliary and St. Bernards Guild. She enjoyed dancing, playing card games, playing Bingo, baking for family and friends, word puzzles and occasionally visited casinos.

Survived by 2 children, Patricia Ann (Robert) Reed, Thief River Falls, MN and Gloria Mae (Lawrence) Roy, Longmont, CO; 8 grandchildren, Renee (Warren) Lahtinen, Stanley, ND, Bonnie (Rod) Wentzel, Bemidji, MN, Daniel (Ellen) Reed, Effie, MN, Patty Ann Liden, Grand Forks, ND, Joette (George) Mecek, Shelby, NE, Lorelle (John) Fischer, York, NE and Robert (Ana Ruth) Roy, Longmont, CO; 20 great grandchildren, Mary and Sara Wheeler, Anna Marie Lahtinen, Cody and Tyler Wentzel, Benjamin and Adam Liden, Anthony (Christina), Scott (Maria), Nicole and Brandon Thomas, Michael and Daniel Mecek, Aaron, Mark, Sarah, Brian and Michaela Fischer, Paul and Christopher Roy; two great-great grandchildren, Brittany and Emma Thomas; 2 sisters, Rose Anna (Sister Anne) and Cecelia (Sister Florentine) of the Order of St. Benedict, Crookston, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
