Caroline Carlin, 41, died on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her home, rural Thief River Falls, MN surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, December 27, 2010 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Northfield, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Northfield, MN. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lonsdale, MN.

Caroline Mary Duban was born December 31, 1968 in Northfield, MN the daughter of Robert and Sylvia (McFadden) Duban. She was baptized at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lonsdale, MN and confirmed at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Northfield, MN.

Caroline attended St. Dominic Elementary School in Northfield and graduated from Northfield High School in 1987. She went on to attend the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN; and worked for Stearns Manufacturing in Sauk Centre, MN from 1988 until 1991.

On August 10, 1991 Caroline was united in marriage to Seth Carlin at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Northfield, MN. To this union three children were born, Michael, Jessica & Justin. On August 11, 1991 they moved to Thief River Falls and Caroline began working at Arctic Cat. She worked in snowmobile assembly until 1995 then went to welding until 2004 when Caroline became their welding coordinator. As welding coordinator she managed the welding production build schedule of three different assembly lines and converted it into work order spreadsheets. She entered all work into a data base to maintain a standard and efficiency per person and part. She also oversaw the departments payroll and worked with other departments when they needed assistance.

Caroline was a talented woman in many ways, she enjoyed working with tools, baking and canning. Her recovery after her first bout of cancer was to remodel her house. She raised a huge garden and enjoyed its produce. Caroline enjoyed feeding and spending time with her family and friends. She was not afraid of trying a new recipe on her coworkers. Caroline dearly loved her children, Michael, Jessica & Justin. She enjoyed working with her kids 4-H Club and traveling with and cheering on the kids soccer teams.

Caroline was a member of St. Bernards Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN.

Survivors include her loving children, Michael (15), Jessica (12) and Justin (7) all at home; parents, Robert and Sylvia Duban of Dundas, MN; brothers and sisters, Gloria (Gary) Duban-Reuvers of Faribault, MN, Greg (Terry) Duban of Faribault, MN, Paul (Audrey) Duban of Faribault, MN, Mark (Amy) Duban of Prior Lake, MN, Nancy (Isaac Hollister) Duban of Dennison, MN; 13 nieces and nephews; and numerous relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents.
