Obituary



Carolyn Teresa Mutnansky was born February 28, 1932 in Thief River Falls, MN to Matthew and Agnes (Karabin) Mutnansky. She grew up on a farm near Goodridge, MN. In 1950 she graduated from Goodridge High School.

Carolyn was united in marriage to Lester Ellsworth Larson, June 10, 1950 in Goodridge, MN at St. Anns Catholic Church by Father Timothy Noah. The couple moved to Thief River Falls for a short time, then, in 1954, Carolyn and Lester bought a farm in Viking Township, where she raised her family. She worked at the Land O Lakes/Northern Pride turkey plant from 1967 to 1993 when she retired. In October of 1999 she moved to the CNC unit at Northwest Medical Center.

Carolyn enjoyed playing cards, dancing, fishing trips to Washkish and watching soap operas. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Middle River.

Carolyn is survived by six children: Renae (Ronald) Timm, Newfolden, MN; Wayne Larson, Viking, MN; Vincent (Suzan) Larson, Viking, MN; Eugene Larson, Viking, MN; Cheryl (Murray) Engelstad, Thief River Falls, MN; Dorene (Dwayne) Myers, Viking, MN; 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, one sister Elsie (Lloyd) Lubinski, St. Paul, MN; four sisters in law: Theresa Mutnansky, Gladys Erickson, Laura (Roy) Roppe, Harriet Kujava, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband Lester in 1996, parents, two sons Keith, Dwight, four brothers Tom Mayernik, Paul & Jerome, Vincent Mutnansky, and one sister Ruth Koci.
